Year-end Tournament

( 02/23/2009 ) All tournament game results and brackets have been posted. Congratulations to all the tournament champions and good luck in any post season tournaments you may be participating in. For managers that are interested, you can continue to add games to your schedule and post results through out the spring. If any BTHL teams are participating in their respective State Advancing Tournaments, please drop me a note and I'll add a paragraph to the News section highlighting your achievements as you hopefully continue through Districts and Nationals. To everyone else, enjoy the off-season and we'll see you next year!

( 02/17/2009 ) All teams for the second weekend have been seeded and the brackets have been posted. PLEASE take the time to look them over and report any errors to our Tournament Director, Jim Geyer, ASAP!

  1. Check your game results for accuracy and verify that your team has been seeded properly.
  2. IF you've tied another team in points, verify that the tie breaker has been properly applied.
  3. Make sure the schedule makes sense logistically. In other words, can you physically be at the next rink ready to play at the posted time in the event of a either a win or loss.
If there is a problem we want to deal with it now, not game time. Thanks for your help and good luck!

February 13 - 15 February 20 - 22

( 02/09/2009 ) Please note the following abbreviations for the rinks listed on the tournament brackets:

A preliminary schedule has been posted. As teams lock in their standing they will be plugged into the brackets. Links to the brackets can be found at the bottom of the respective divisional standings.

The Bantams and Midgets will be playing the weekend of Feb 13-15, Mites through PeeWees will play Feb 20-22. All games will be in the Cincinnati area.

Website will not be Updated

I will not be able to update the results on this website for the next 2 weeks. You can continue to submit your results and they will be posted on Saturday, October 18. Please accept my apology for the inconvenience. Len.

Schedule has been Posted

Managers, please pull up your schedule and verify the accuracy. If you find an error please [Edit] your schedule. If it's accurate please send me an email telling me that so I can mark it as "Verified".

Note that you can also add non-league and tournament games if desired. By using the website to maintain your ENTIRE schedule you (or one of your parents, players, etc) will spot conflicts and errors much sooner and avoid potential problems down the road. Keep in mind that this is NOT a live update, each change generates a specially formatted email which is periodically read by my program and posted in batches. I will typically update the website multiple times per day throughout the regular work week. It's not often that I will update it over a weekend.

Also, you should enter your roster online before your first game. Posting rosters and game results is your responsibility as a team manager and doing it in a timely manner saves the BTHL volunteers a lot of time in following up.

Thanks for your help and have a great season!

Divisions are Finalized!

( 09/26/2008 ) - There has been one change made in the Bantam division. Due to an unexpected loss of players, the decision has been made to move the Ft Wayne Komets A team down to the A1 division. With that development the board reconsidered (and granted) the Lexington request to move their A1 team up to the A division.

The petitions have been considered and the final placments have been posted. Please direct any questions to Hugh Miller and Doug Burgdorf at nkic@fuse.net;dburgdorf@cinci.rr.com. As a reminder, the regular season scheduling meeting will be held this Saturday in Dayton at Hara Arena. There will be a brief Board meeting (open to all) at 9:00 am followed by the scheduling starting promptly at 10:00 am. Please monitor this website for any last minute announcements.

Pre-Season Tournament Schedule

( 09/09/2008 ) - We've been warned that Miami U has an NCAA football game this Saturday at 3pm. According to Goggin officials, people should plan on traffic being super thick by late morning (an extra 45 minute to 1 hour delay). By noon, they predict that there will be no parking left. This will obviously be a huge issue for teams coming in on Saturday to play the BTHL tournament. Please plan accordingly!

( 09/08/2008 ) - The Bantam & Squirt schedules have changes. Please be sure to check it out.

( 09/05/2008 ) - Minor changes/corrections have been made and the individual team schedules have been posted. Please take the time to look for obvious conflicts and notify John Doyle ASAP if any problems are found. If you find a difference between your team schedule and the spreadsheet linked below please defer to the spreadsheet.

( 09/04/2008 ) - The schedule has again been posted in the form of an Excel spreadsheet and linked by age group below. The individual team schedules have NOT been updated and will be posted tomorrow. If you see obvious conflicts please contact our tournament director, John Doyle at jtdoyle@cinci.rr.com

Sincerely,
John T. Doyle, Tournament Director
