The next Board Meeting of the Buckeye Travel League (BTHL) is on Sunday August 15, 1999 at 4:00 p.m. (Ohio & Kentucky); 3:00 pm (Indiana). The meeting is being held at Perkins Restaurant in Troy, OH. This will be the last meeting before the Scheduling meeting. All member organizations are encouraged to have representation.

1999 - 2000 Board Positions

The position of President is still open for the 1999 - 2000 playing season. A description for this board position can be found in the BTHL By-Laws, located on the BTHL WEB page. A Chairman for the End-Of-Season Play-Offs is also needed. Feel free to contact any of the other board members if interested in one of these positions.

Team Applications

This is the last meeting before the Scheduling Meeting, scheduled for September 18, 1999. Enclosed is a team application. One application should be completed for each team. Organizations may, however, send one check to cover the cost of team registration. Any teams requesting an exception to the A/AA rule should do so at this meeting. At a minimum, requests should include a list of players (or potential players) with birthdates and playing experience. This information can also be sent to Len Holtgreven for review prior to the August meeting.

Registration is again $125 per team if registered by September 4, 1999. A $50 late fee will be assessed for applications received between September 4 and September 11, 1999. No applications will be accepted after September 11, 1999.

1999 - 2000 Rules & Regulations

The following rule changes for the 1999 - 2000 Rules & Regulations and By-Laws will be voted on at the August meeting. Additional information can be found on the WEB page.

By this time of the year, most organizations should have their new board members in place. Attached is the current list of Presidents and BTHL Contacts for all member organizations. Please make changes on the enclosed form and return to Kim James by August 11. A new contact sheet will be available at the August 15 meeting. To cut down on mailing expenses, Meeting Minutes and Notifications will be sent via e-mail. Please include an e-mail address for the organization and all contacts when possible.

Len Holtgreven does a great job of keeping this list current. Continue to keep Len updated.
