The Annual meeting of the Buckeye Travel League (BTHL) is on Sunday May 21, 2000 at 1:00 pm. (Ohio & Kentucky), 12:00 pm (Indiana). This meeting is being held at the Nationwide Arena, home of the Columbus Bluejackets NHL team. ALL member organizations are encouraged to send representation at this very important planning meeting for the 2000-2001 season.
March Meeting Minutes
You will find enclosed the minutes from the March BTHL meeting. Prior to the meeting, please review. Contact one of
the board members if you would like to have an item added to the agenda for the Annual meeting.
1999 Satisfaction Survey
Thanks to everybody who responded to the 1999 League Satisfaction Survey. This is a tool used to make continual
improvements to the league. Enclosed in this mailing is a compilation of all responses.
BTHL By-Laws & 1999 - 2000 Rules and Regulations
Each year the rules governing the BTHL are reviewed and changes put in place at the Annual Meeting. You are asked to
review the BTHL By-Laws and the Rules and Regulations. Proposed changes can be sent and will be reviewed and voted
on at the Annual Meeting. You may submit you proposals several ways...
To date we have not received any suggestions to rules changes. This either means A) everything is perfect (right!) or B) you haven't given it much thought (probably closer to the truth). Your input is valuable, so send us your ideas!
2000 - 2001 Board Positions
Most board positions are open of the upcoming season. Remember, a By-Law change that is to take affect for the
next season is to rotate the board positions through each member organization, as listed in the By-Laws. We obviously
would prefer to fill board positions by somebody who wants to hold that position and will gladly accept volunteers.
However, in the event board positions go unfilled at the Annual Meeting, we will start working our way down the list
until all positions are filled. Feel free to contact a current board member if you are interested in filling a position.
A description of each board position can be found in the By-Laws.
The first few organizations that should be prepared to have somebody available to fill any unfilled positions are (in order) - Ft. Wayne, Indy Racers, Indy Blues, Northern Kentucky Norsemen and South Bend.
The BTHL Rules and Regulations and By-Laws can be found on the Buckeye WEB http://www.bright.net/~bthl/
Columbus Bluejackets NHL Team
Thanks to all the teams that responded to the survey sent out by the Columbus Bluejackets concerning tickets. Carson
Woods will be at the Annual meeting to discuss this opportunity further.
