I am the manager of CCYHA: Columbus Blue J= ackets, Squirt A Team. Our head coach is Rob Comfort, and our assistant = coaches are Dr Dana Walters, and John Panovsky. =20 We have paid and sent our registration to the BTHL early. At the time we= had 5 full time '92 players and one player who was double rostered with = our AA team. This player is full time on the AA team, and because his tw= in brother is a full time A player, he would be available if we were ever= short a player. The probability of him playing in an A game is slim to = none. Last night, a player was able to commit to our team. His father's job st= abability prevented the boy from prior commitment. As it turns out, his = birthday is in '92. That puts our group with 7 '92 players. =20 This is a very young team in experience and age. They are small in overal= l size - including the '92 players. Of the 18 players on the team, only= 4 have ever traveled before. Of the 7 '92 players only 3 have traveled = before. These 3 are the "twins" and the player who was rostered with us = last night. =20 Prior experience for this team relies on in-house experience and some sel= ect play. For these boys, more than 1/2 were first year players in 2001-= 2002 season. =20 The level of play for this group is soundly at an A level. I am petition= ing the Board to allow our standing as an A Team to continue. Our roster= is complete. No new additions will be made. Unless a tragedy happens, I= do not forsee using our double rostered athlete. He was listed for emer= gency/lack of players only. =20 I am using e-mail to expidite the petition before game play and schedulin= g begin.
