PROGRAM DETAILS; Concepts in fun and entertaining atmosphere. The program has been developed in conjunction with Columbus Youth Hockey ace coordinator. The program includes.

.               each player receives a camp jersey

.               video taping of skating skills

.               at least 2.5 hours of ice daily (total 8 hours)

.               one hour of supervised off-ice activity

.               power-skating, skill sessions, team play session and controlled scrimmages

.               off-ice session that include video tape replay, instructional tapes, chalks talks and rules instruction

.               a “big final game” will be held on Sunday to close the school. Everyone is encouraged to come, watch, enjoy!

.               each player will receive an individual evaluation

 

LEAD CULVER INSTRUCTOR; Mike Norton is currently coaching at the nationally acclaimed Culver Academy prep school. Mike is a former Division I hockey player, assistant coach for University of Wisconsin – River Falls and Miami of Ohio Red hawks. Mike brings 20 years of teaching/coaching experience to the school. Other Culver personnel and current Culver hockey players will assist Mike.

 

GOALTENDERS; The goalies will NOT just be targets, but also rather receive quality instruction on the physical and mental skills required for the position.

 

Meal/snack; Meals are not available at Hamilton Center. Between Sessions snacks consisting of pizza and cold drinks are available at the ice rink. Meals/Snacks can also so be brought from home. Meals/Snacks are not included in the camp fee.

 

INSURANCE INFORMATION;

Each player must have his or her own medical insurance. COLUMBUS YOUTH HOCKEY, HAMILTON CENTER ICE ARENA, and ALL STAFF will not be responsible for any medical or dental expenses. A medical release and insurance form will be sent to each participant upon acceptance and should be brought to registration the first day of your camp.

Check-in 6:00pm                     on ice 12:00pm – 2:00pm                        on ice 9:00am – 10:30am

On ice    7:00pm                      class-meal/snack 2:25pm –3:10pm         break: half hour

Off ice   9:30pm                      on ice 3:30pm – 4:30pm                          final game 11:00am

CAMP FEE’S $125.00 PER. PLAYER , GOALTENDERS FEE’S $65.00 , 2nd  SKATER FROM SAME FAMILY  $65.00

                                                                                                                                                                               

A $50.00 deposit is required by 6/15/2002 to assure a position in the school.

A confirmation letter including medical from will be sent to each player on receipt of the fee/deposit
