To the BTHL,

We have a Midget Team from Huntington, West Virginia that would like to
join the Buckeye league.

We were a Midget "B" team in the GCYHL last year.  We would like to be
considered for the "A" division.  We would have more 2nd year players than
are allowed per your rules, but there are a few reasons that we would like
you to considered.

We have a small market area. We draw from WV, Southern Ohio, and
Northeastern Kentucky. We only have about 75 players for all age groups.
There are no try outs.  Every Midget that signs up is on the team.

We are not sure of our enrollment yet.  We have our final sign ups on
August 25th. From last years numbers we could have about 15-20 players (5 -
1987's,
4 - 1986's, and 9 - 1985's).

We do not have a team roster until after sign ups are completed. We don't
start practicing until Sept. 7th. After this first practice we would be
able to send a roster.

I have spoken with Tracy Merritt and he advised me to write this letter.  I
am faxing it to him and Keith Kenitzer in hopes that this could be
considered at your next meeting.  I will mail the application and check for
$425.00 to Tracy on Tuesday, August 20th.
