Notes:
  1. Top seeded teams automatically advance (given a "bye") to the next round when the quantity of teams is not equal to exactly 4, 8, 16 or 32.
  2. For multi-division brackets (see below), alternate between the divisions when seeding teams. (Note the different method used with "2" and "3-division" age groups.) The "starting" division will be determined as follows:
    1. In the instance that one division has more teams than the other (as shown below), start "Seed 1" with the division having the most teams. This will help maximize the number of "cross-divisional" match-ups all the way through to the championship game.
    2. Should the number of teams in all divisions be equal, "Seed 1" will be the division winner with the most regular season points. (Best record)
    3. Should all division winners have an equal number of points, then the last place team with the least regular season points will have the last seed. The division winner from the other division will be awarded the top seed.
    4. If both the top and bottom teams from each division are tied in points, proceed with same criteria using "2nd" and "2nd-to-last" place teams. (Then "3rd" and "3rd-to-last", etc.)
  3. Seeded round robins will use the same seeding to determine brackets. As an example, an 8-team round robin (please refer to the second round of the bracket shown above) would have 2 brackets consisting of teams 1-8-5-4 vs. 3-6-7-2. A 6-team round robin would simply eliminate the bottom 2 seeds and consist of 1-5-4 vs. 3-6-2.
