Parents opened meeting, goal of meeting is to resend suspensions. Father reviewed past experience of John, stressing the competitive level played and need for refs to control the game. Agreed that the game in question was a "very physical game". Voiced hostility and verbal taunting.
BTHL involved due to number of misconducts, a 3rd requires a hearing and the fact that this issue was not settled by the local board.
The scoresheet records were reviewed, re: each penalty, along with statements made by the refs and coaches. There is a videotape of the game, which will be reviewed by Ken and Hugh for a final ruling.
There was discussion about confusion with players, who initiated and engaged in the "fights", confusion with player numbers and placement of players on the ice. The vidotape will clarify these points.
Meeting ended with no changes to the original suspension. Final decision will be made after the viewing of the videotape.
