Brackets are now Final
Team placements are complete and the brackets are now finalized. For those of you that are new to the BTHL, we
are limited by our Bylaws to a maximum of 24 league games. Your league schedule will normally consist of 2 home and 2
away games with each team in your division. Cross-over games can optionally be scheduled but they are considered
"non-league" scrimmages and the results will not be used in the compilation of league standings. For divisions with
more than 7 teams (PeeWee B, Bantam A-Bluegrass and Bantam AA), you will play each team in
your division a total of 3 times. Normally, a 4th game is played but it's not mandatory and it will be considered a
"non-league" game. Please note that unless otherwise agreed to, the first 3 games played will be the "League"
games.
Saturday's schedule:
- 9:00am Brief Board Meeting - all are welcome to attend.
- 9:45am Team reps arrive and be seated in main room for announcements, instructions and blank schedule.
- 10:00am-12:00noon Team reps disperse and group with division to schedule games (may be in other rooms).
- Turn in completed schedule BEFORE leaving. This is absolutely essential, I will key in all the game
times and by Sunday night you will have your schedule posted online. If a single team leaves without turning in a
schedule I cannot complete the schedule for the division.
After the Scheduling Meeting PLEASE CHECK YOUR POSTED SCHEDULE!
- This will be the official league schedule and you need to verify the accuracy. If it's correct, send me a
confirmation email, I'll check your schedule off as "confirmed".
- If you find a mistake (and I guarantee that some of you will) please let me know ASAP. The first thing I will
do is check the schedule you turned in on Saturday; if that corresponds with what you're telling me then I'll make
the correction and post it. If the hand written schedule does NOT match, then you will need to get with the
effected team and work out the problem. The division director will need to get involved only if the problem cannot
be resolved.
- Keep in mind that the schedule turned in on Saturday can not be changed unless BOTH TEAMS agree to change
it. I will keep the original hand written schedules on file for the entire season and will refer back to them in
the event of disputes.
During the season please verify game times and other details with opposing teams in advance. The burden for this is
generally on the visiting teams, but the home team should touch base if the visiting team fails to do so.
I'll see you on Saturday and have a great season!
