Cincinnati Meeting Notes

The May 24th meeting at Northlands Ice Arena in Cincinnati resulted in the following changes:

  1. The newly adopted "Team Placement Chart" has been modified slightly; the number of 2nd year players allowed for 1st teams participating in the "A" division from Medium Associations has been increased from 4 to 6. No other changes to the Chart were made.
  2. It is the coaches responsibility to verify that appropriate referees (as defined by USA Hockey Guidelines) are working League games BEFORE the first puck drops. No protests based on referee levels will be considered AFTER the game begins. The protest must be noted on the scoresheet and signed by both coaches; the game will then be rescheduled to be played back at the "current visiting" team rink with the "current home" team picking up the cost of ice and referees. In the event that the teams can not come to a mutually acceptable schedule, the "current home" team will forfeit the game.
  3. Due to conflicts with the annual Coaches Clinic held at Goggin Arena in Oxford, the scheduling meeting has been moved up 1 week to September 13. All other deadlines will be moved up accordingly. The "On time" application deadline will be Saturday, August 30. The "late" deadline will be Saturday, September 6.
  4. After 2 years of using surplus League funds to partially subsidize our year-end tournament we will be raising our tournament fee from $300 to $400. The team registration fee of $125 remains unchanged resulting in a total amount due for each team of $525.
  5. The "no refund" policy for our team registration fee has been clarified to include the year-end tournament fee. Teams not participating in our tournament will forfeit the fee.
  6. Coaches receiving 3 game misconducts in a season will be suspended for the remainder of the season with no appeal.
  7. A limit has been set for "Double Rostered" players. No more than 1 goalie and 3 skaters can be rostered on multiple teams. Players in excess of the limits will be considered "illegal players" and will be grounds for game forfeitures.
