Northern Kentucky Youth Hockey Association (NKYHA)

Head Coach is Dan Cousineau, former Captain of the OSU Frozen Four Team and former professional hockey player. The assistants will include former OSU players; Ryan Jestadt, Pete Broccoli, Jason Crain. Bill McKenzie, former OSU and NHL goalie, will help out with the goalies.

Sylvania Pre-Post Midget Teams

Sylvania will be having two teams again this year, one will be an Under 18 (1986 and under) team and the other will be an Under 16 (1988 and under) team.

There will be a one-time fee of $55 to attend the tryouts.

Both teams will compete for eight weeks prior to the high school season (in order to qualify to play in the State Tournament following the high school season). The older team will be coached by Tom Cline, Dave Fielding, and Grandpa Gust. The Midget16 team will be coached by Ken Grodi.

All tryouts listed below will be 90 minutes in duration at Tam-O-Shanter:

All conditioning skates are $10 per player for the one-hour sessions, and will be held at TEAM TOLEDO ICE HOUSE on Alexis Road in Toledo.

AAA / AA / A TRYOUTS $40 Plus Registration Form and Deposit

CAHA is proud to announce an affiliation between the Midget AA team and the Cincinnati JR B Cobras. Qualified skaters will be able to practice and potentially play games with the Cobras. This team will play Midget AA in the Buckeye and seek to play high level Midget AA and AAA competition to the north. CAHA would also like to announce the formation of a AAA / AA PeeWee independent team, coached by Don Biggs, he can be reached at dbcenter22@fuse.net. This team will seek to play AAA and high level AA competition to the north.

CAHA will again field a girls U19A Little Caesars Travel team and a U19C regional travel team. The coaching staffs will be announced prior to tryouts. CAHA would also like to announce the formation of a girls U14 independent travel team, coached by Pam Maifeld. In addition we will be forming a local U14 league, and U10, U12 teams in our House program. Registration form and payment must be submitted prior to attending any conditioning/evaluation sessions. The $175.00 registration fee for competitive travel players includes a registration fee of $150.00 and a try-out fee of 25.00. (Please refer to our registraion form for more details) If a player decides to try-out for more than one team, there will be an additonal $25.00 charge. Conditioning sessions prior to the first try-out date for each level will also be conducted. There will be an additional $10.00 fee for those attending the conditioning sessions.

Most of the Practices & Games will be at the HARA/WinterLand Complex with some ice being utilized at Hobart Arena in Troy and the Kettering Recreation Center.
