The Cincinnati Amateur Hockey Association is proud to announce they have been accepted into the AAA Tier I Eastern Elite Amateur Hockey League and for U16 & U18 also in the Great Lakes Hockey League. An EEHL western division has been formed for Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Huntsville-AL and Fredericksburg-VA for birth years 1991-1995. (Fredericksburg was a late entrant and has agreed to play all of their games away from home.) For the 1989/1990 U16's, there will be one 4-6 team division comprised of teams from the East & West. In the GLHL, teams from the Pittsburgh Predators, Pittsburgh Vipers & Columbus Blue Jackets are confirmed at both the U16 and U18 age levels. The league will consist of 4-8 teams. The EEAHL, while confirmed at U16 is waiting for more participation at U18.
CAHA will be forming a team in every age level that the EEAHL currently offers. The teams and coaches are listed below:
CAHA will be holding pre-tryout AAA festivals. The purpose of the festival is to introduce families interested in AAA to the EEAHL League, CAHA AAA Coaches and the CAHA Organization. While the parents are learning about CAHA & the AAA league, skaters will participate in a 2 1/2 hour clinic consisting of skills and scrimmage at their appropriate birth year. CAHA AA coaches will also be on hand to discuss their teams and the opportunities available at their level. The Festivals will be held at the Cincinnati Gardens & the cost to each skater will be $20. Space is limited and preregistration for the clinic is required. To register, a note indicating the skater name, birth date, team and level played last year (skater must have played A or higher last year) is to be sent to CAHA - AAA Festival at 6123 Glennsbury Court, West Chester, Ohio 45069. If you have any questions, please call (513) 777-1700. The high level agenda for each session is listed below:
